Shoo-Fly Overview

This vigorous annual plant is sometimes commonly known as the Apple of Peru, or the Shoo-fly. Its leaves grow to 10 cm or more and have wavy margins. Between summer and autumn, bell-shaped, light violet-blue flowers are produced, which are followed by brown berries enclosed in green lantern-like structures. Growing best in full sun, this fully hardy species can also be found in winter arrangements, where its fruiting branches make a great addition!
