Japanese Anemone Overview
Anemone × hybrida 'Königin Charlotte' is a perennial cultivar in the buttercup family, Ranunculaceae. Also known by the name Japanese anemone, it produces showy, semi-double, rose-pink, cup-shaped blooms with between 10-15 overlapping petals. Foliage is attractively divided and deciduous in nature, dying back over the winter and re-growing in spring. This species is part of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen. A great choice for pollinating insect wildlife. It has also been awarded a RHS Award of Garden Merit.
