Snowy Mespilus Overview
Amelanchier × lamarckii is a large shrub that can be grown as a single stemmed small tree, from the Rosaceae family. It is commonly known by the names Snowy Mespilus and Juneberry, amongst others. It is grown for its colourful foliage and beautiful white spring flowers. A good choice for sites that have moist to wet soil as it can tolerate most soil conditions except strong alkalinity. It will achieve the best autumn colour on a slightly acidic soil in full sun. This plant has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
