Climbing lily Overview

Gloriosa is a genus of tendril-climbing perennial plants with tuberous roots in the Colchicaceae family native to parts of Asia and Africa where they inhabit tropical regions. There are 11 species in this genus and several are widely cultivated and have become naturalised in a number of non-native habitats. Commonly known as glory lily, these plants are grown for their showy, lily-like flowers and require a sheltered wall.
