A genus containing 5 species of deciduous trees in the Altingiaceae family native to Asia, Southeastern Europe and North Africa. Commonly known as sweet gum, they are cultivated for their maple-shaped leaves that take on an ever-changing range of stunning and long-lasting Autumn colours.
