Sphagneticola trilobata is a perennial species in the daisy family, Asteraceae. It originates from Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean and now grows naturally around the Neotropics. It is cultivated as an ornamental groundcover, for its attractive yellow flowers and spreading, mat-forming growth habit. It typically doesn't grow taller than 30cm in height, producing rounded stems. Foliage is fleshy and hairy, between 4-9cm in length and approximately 2-5cm wide. Leaves have toothed to serrated edges.
