Thorny shrub to tree that grows quickly into a thick hedge making it popular as security fence. The edible yellow fruit is tricky to pick, but flavourful and remind of little apples. ZA Distribution: Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Western Cape.
Pick fruit when they are yellow and juicy.
Easily grow from seed in sandy soil mix.
