This woody shrub or small tree boasts large trumpet-shaped flowers which attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. There is a wide selection of colours to choose from, and blooms are present throughout most of the year. It is very hardy and versatile, equally useful as an accent plant, grown in containers or even hedged.
Take new growth or soft wood cuttings about 15cm long. Take off all leaves except for the top. Trim the cutting to the bottom leaf node. Dip into rooting hormone powder. Place cutting in well draining soil.
