Hyacinthoides mauritanica Overview

Hyacinthoides mauritanica, unlike other bluebells, is a dwarf and gentle species with soft, powder-blue flowers. While the British native English bluebell (H. non-scripta) prefers a woodland setting, H. mauritanica does well in full sun and even in open, stony or alpine settings, such as a rockery or gravel garden. Alternatively, these look fantastic when planted in drifts in borders or patio containers.
