Trees bear 3 - 4 years after planting and bear fully between 6-8 years. The fruits is ready to harvest 7-9 months after flowering. The coffee tree's fruit does not all ripen at one time, will have blossoms and berries in various stages of ripening.

How to propagate Coffee
Sowing time during Autumn and Winter. Soak seeds overnight before planting. Wait for an embryo to emerge (white protrusion at the end of the seed) and plant directly in a large pot filled with good potting soil.
Cuttings are most successful if using 12 - 15 cm tip cuttings. Leave 2 - 4 leaves at the tip. Treat with hormone powder like other plant cuttings. MAke cuttings during spring after berries have ripened and before flowering begins.
