Orchid Overview

Phalaenopsis 'Aida' is a hybrid cross between Phalaenopsis pulcherrima var. coerulea x Phalaenopsis equestris that produces a miniature plant with delicate pale purple to lilac flowers during the summer. This epiphytic compact, shade-loving decorated orchid prefers growing conditions similar to the East Asia rainforests its parents are native to and can be grown in leaf mould or on rock faces.
