Syncolostemon is a genus containing around 45 species in the mint family, Lamiaceae. These plants originate from dry tropical regions of South Africa, including Madagascar and 1 is from India. They are aromatic, with oppositely arranged leaves and square stems, like most plants in the mint family. Flowers are pea-like and vary in colour across species, pink, purple and white are most common.
