Prunus nipponica var. kurilensis 'Brilliant' is a large shrub or small tree that has a bushy and upright habit. In mid spring ti produces single white flowers on it's bare branches before the leaves appear. This plants foliage appears with a red bronze colour which deepens into green as the leaves mature, before turning a fiery red in autumn.
