Needle Grass Overview

Stipa is a large genus of perennial grasses native to temperate grasslands of the Americas, Southern Europe and Africa where they are important as forage crops. Many species and varieties are popular as ornamental landscaping plants because of their large elegant arching clumps of rolled leaves and tall panicles of white or buff flowers that remain all winter.
