Genus with around 107 creeping, annual or evergreen perennial species in the Asteraceae family. They originate from coastal habitats in tropical and subtropical climates. Foliage is hairy, lobed or toothed and oval to elliptic in shape. These are generally grown for their flowers, which are daisy-like and yellow and also give this genus its alternate name of creeping oxeyes.
