Button flower Overview

A genus of 9 currently accepted species of evergreen shrubs, trees and climbers in the Dilleniaceae family native to Australia, New Guinea, New Caledonia, Fiji and Madagascar. They have simple leaves and saucer-shaped flowers in shades of yellow, pink or white. Commonly known as Guinea flower, cultivated species are usually grown under glass but can be brought outside in the Summer.
