Wax Plant Overview
Hoya multiflora is also known by the name Shooting Stars Wax Plant, it is a climbing vine with thick, waxy leaves and beautiful white-yellow flowers which look like shooting stars. The flowers do not look real, they look like shiny wax sculptures and have a delicate slight fragrance. They are often grown indoors as house plants and like a bright humid environment. Outdoors they are from the tropics where they grow in trees. They are fast-growing and respond well to pruning. The plants should be fed month from spring to autumn with a fertilizer suitable for epiphytic plants.

Special features of Wax Plant
Indoor plant
Bright indirect light year-round is needed, some direct sun is fine, but shade plants from harsh summer sun, which can scorch foliage. Hoyas will live in low light, but will not bloom.
Pot plant
Hoyas like an open potting medium that allows some air to get to the roots. Typical mixes include large-grade drainage material such as perlite, pumice, or ceramic balls.
