Berzelia Overview

Genus with over 15 evergreen, branching, wiry-stemmed shrubs typically grown for their heather-like appearance and profuse flowers. They are densely covered in small, thin, needle-like, light green leaves and their flowers are small, greeny-yellow or white and packed into larger spherical clusters. Stamens are longer than the petals, so flowerheads appear studded.

How to propagate Berzelia

Seed

Propagation is by seeds in the spring.

Cuttings

Semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.

Other uses of Berzelia

Grown for their flowers.
