White Mangrove Overview
Avicennia marina is better known as a White Mangrove. It is a small to medium-size tree species for the Avicenniaceae family. Typically growing between 3-11m tall, it forms a straight trunk with a branching, rounded crown. The bark is coloured pale yellow-green, it is flaky in texture, with raised markings. ZA Distribution: Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal.
