Tawny Pea Overview
Pisum fulvum or Tawny Pea, is an annual species from the Pea family, Fabaceae. It produces attractive orange flowers and has a climbing habit, growing well with some support. These might be visible on the plant like you would expect, or they might be hidden under the soil! It was recently shown that this plant can produce different flowers based on the conditions its growing in. A pea is a most commonly green, occasionally golden yellow, or infrequently purple pod-shaped vegetable. Peas are easy to grow, and achieve a good yield in a small space but you're unlikely to be growing this one at home! It originates from the Middle East and is quite different from the classic Garden Pea, Pisum sativum.
