Pileostegia Overview

A small genus comprising 4 species of evergreen climbing shrubs in the Hydrangeaceae family, native to India and East Asia. They are characterised by their clusters of tiny creamy-white or greenish flowers in late Summer. Known as climbing hydrangeas, they climb using aerial roots and are often cultivated as wall shrubs where they prefer a well-drained soil but are happy in any aspect.
