    Lutheria Overview

Lutheria is a small genus containing around 4 evergreen perennial plants from the Bromeliaceae family. They produce rosettes of strap-shaped, colourful foliage measuring approximately 60cm in length. Flowers are borne on erect spikes, these are tubular and surrounded by showy modified leaves known as bracts. Lutheria plants are easily confused with species in the genus Vriesea, some were previously included in this genus but have now been reclassified.
