Evergreen shrub or small tree that grows between 2.5-4m in height, with a spread of around 2m. It produces leathery foliage arranged into 5 oblong leaflets measuring around 30cm long, these radiate outwards from stems. Flowers are arranged densely on branched panicle arrangments, these are dull red in colour and lead onto black fruits.
