Native Grape Overview

Cissus oblonga is a woody vine that will happily scramble over obstacles and can form thickets when growing in the dry rainforests of its native East Australia. Commonly known as Native Grape, this robust and large vine produces clusters of small and compact cream flowers in summer that can develop into 1cm wide black (when ripe) berries with white spots. The flesh of these berries will stain your fingers if mis handle them. This frost tender plant prefers average temperatures above 10C and can be grown as a houseplant, provided you have the space to let it spread!
