Pritchardia Overview

With approximately 23 species, this genus of palms is native to moist hillsides and upland areas of Fiji, Hawaii and adjacent Pacific Islands. Many are cultivated for their fan-shaped leaves. Small, bell-shaped flowers are also produced, which may be white or cream in colour. These palms make excellent specimen plants, particularly in warm greenhouses or tropical areas.
