1 of 1
Snow Belle radishes are fast growing with crisp white flesh and a mild flavour. Radishes are low maintenance, require few nutrients and are a great addition to any salad garden. This variety can be grown indoors, provided the plant receives enough sunlight.
Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring
Pick radishes any time after the tuber has developed but they will be larger if left in the ground for 23 days. The tuber should be visible through the soil if the seeds were planted with a 6mm soil covering or you brush some of the soil from the radish top to check the tuber.
Sow directly in early spring and into summer, 10-15 mm deep and 12-15 cm apart. Germination takes 4-10 days.
Cherry Belle is a light feeder and doesn't need a lot of nutrients.
Cool and moist
Soil PH preference
The tubers are edible and are great consumed raw in salads. The tubers are mildly spicy, low in calories and rich in fiber.
This variety is generally disease free but can be bothered by flea beetles that cause pinholes in the leaves which can reduce the growth rate and quality of radishes. Radishes can also be bothered by root maggots. Both pest's populations can be reduced by using a row cover.
