Chir Pine Overview

Pinus roxburghii is a large, conical, evergreen conifer tree from the Pinaceae family. Commonly known by the names Chir, Chir Pine, Longleaf Indian Pine and Cheer Pine, amongst others. It grows naturally from Pakistan to the Himalayas and parts of India. Produces narrow, needle-like, dark green leaves and brown cones. Pinus roxburghii is a hardy tree species that grows best in full sun to partial shade and well-draining soil.
