    Habranthus Overview

    A genus of around 83 species of bulbous perennial flowering plants in the Amaryllidaceae family native to the Americas but widely naturalised elsewhere. Commonly known as rain lilies, they have linear grass-like leaves and starry, funnel or trumpet-shaped flowers in Summer and Autumn. They are tender plants and do best under glass in the UK or outside in containers that can be protected in Winter.
