Bergenia cordifolia 'Rotblum' (Elephant's Ear) is a slightly wavy leafed evergreen perennial that will provide winter colour and then produce tall red flowers in Spring. Bergenia was a favourite of garden designer Gertrude Jekyll and plants woman Beth Chatto, as it is a robust plant, great for edging well-trodden paths or as ground cover planted in groups.
