Indian Bean Tree Overview
Catalpa × erubescens is an artificial hybrid species from the bignonia family, Bignoniaceae. It is a deciduous tree of medium size that is uncommon in cultivation. It produces attractive chocolate brown to purple leaves which develop green colouring with age. Flowers are showy, coloured creamy-white, with flecks of brown-yellow, leading onto long, pendent seedpods.
