Mukdenia Overview

A genus of 2 species of rhizomatous perennial plants in the Saxifragaceae family native to parts of East Asia and Japan where they are found in woodland habitats. They have divided, lobed leaves held on long stalks and sprays of small, white star-shaped flowers. In cultivation they are grown as ground cover plants and are suited to a woodland setting where they prefer cool summers and moist, leafy substrates.
