Thamnocalamus Overview

Thamnocalamus is a small genus comprising of around 4 species of graceful and vigorous evergreen clumping bamboo in the grass family, Poaceae. Cultivated varieties are grown for their slender foliage and the colour of the canes, which changes with age as the plants mature. They are tolerant in mild areas of the UK. Many species previously assigned to this genus have been reassigned elsewhere.
