Cutthroat Pitcher Plant Overview
This carnivorous perennial hybrid is commonly known as the cut throat plant due to it's distinct red throat blotch. Flowers emerge in spring that look like the main tuning slide of a trumpet giving rise to it's other common name or Yellow Trumpet flower. It's scent is faintly of cat urine acting as a lure for hungry insects.
