Bowkeria Overview

Small genus with only 3 aromatic shrub or small tree species endemic to South Africa, they typically do not exceed 4m in height and may be hairy. They possess upright growth habits and leathery, lance, oval or egg-shaped leaves and these are oppositely arranged in groups of 3. Flowers are almost spherical and showy, coloured white or yellow. The flower petals are modified into 2-lips and they resemble pouches.
