Medusa's Head Air Plant Overview
Tillandsia caput-medusae is an evergreen, epiphytic perennial species commonly known as Medusa's Head Air Plant. It typically grows to around 15cm tall, producing grey-green, linear foliage which curves backwards and twists, forming a bulb-like base. The leaves measure approximately 25cm long and flowers are arranged on spikes. These are violet-mauve in colour and tubular in shape and they are surrounded by red coloured modified leaves known as bracts.
