Acrocomia Overview

Acrocomia is a genus with around 8 palm species restricted in their distribution to the Neotropical region of the world. Grown for their overall stature and attractive foliage, this is pinnately divided and spiny. They produce branched yellow inflorescences from in-between the large leaves. These develop into large, single-seeded fruits, coloured yellow, orange or brown.
