Fringed Polygala Overview
Polygaloides is termed a monotypic genus as it contains just 1 speices, Polygaloides paucifolia. It is a shrub species in the milkwort family, Polygalaceae. Flowers are pea-like, pink or white flowers and this plant is commonly known as Fringed Polygala. This species was historically included within the genus Polygala, however in 2011, it was segregated into its own distinct genus.
