Pepper nettle Overview

A genus of nearly 80 species of evergreen or semi-evergreen shrubs, subshrubs or perennial plants in the Lamiaceae family with a wide distribution of origin across Europe, Asia, Africa and North America with a centre of diversity in the Canaries. In cultivation they are often used in rock gardens where they tolerate frosts and prefer sun and well-drained soils.
