Overview

Verbena hastata is an upright species, producing attractive clumps that spread up to a metre wide. Typically grows to around 1.5m tall, producing attractive lance-shaped foliage measuring around 15cm long and spikes of small violet-blue to pink-purple flowers. These are produced from summer through to autumn. The clumping growth habit can be effectively utilised as bedding plants or these are also well suited to growing in pots or window boxes.
