Thymus Overview

A large genus of around 350 species of evergreen mat-or clump-forming shrubs or woody perennials with aromatic colourful foliage and tiny purple, pink or white flowers. They come from dry regions in the Northern Hemisphere and are often cultivated as culinary herbs and as rock garden specimens and are good as creeping ground cover in between paving stones.
