Alocasia baginda 'Dragon Scale' Overview
Alocasia 'Dragon Scale' is a tender, rhizomatous, evergreen perennial cultivar in the Araceae family. This tender plant makes a striking visual foliage display. It is frequently grown indoors as a houseplant, doing best when provided with ample humidity. Placement in a bathroom or kitchen, in bright but indirect light is advised, ensure soil is a well-draining mix to prevent waterlogging to the roots. This stunning plant produces large, oval leaves with pointed tips. They have a gorgeous dark metallic green and heavily veined appearance similar to that of a dragon's scales, hence the cultivar name! The underside of the leaves is a paler green shade, with prominent dark veins. It has relatively insignificant flowers which may be borne at any time of the year.
