Delavay's Tree Peony Overview
Paeonia delavayi is a deciduous shrub species in the Paeoniaceae family. Originating from central China, this plant is commonly known by the name Delavay's Tree Peony. It typically grows to around 1.5 tall, producing divided green leaves and deep red flowers measuring approximately 10cm across. This species is part of the Royal Horticultural Society “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen. A great choice for encouraging pollinating insect wildlife into your garden!
