Peacock Flower Overview
Tigridia pavonia is a bulbous perennial species that produces lance-shaped, Iris-like leaves, these typically reach around 50cm in length. Commonly known by the names Peacock Flower, Tiger Flower and Flower of Tigris, amongst others. Flowers are 3-petalled, showy and dramatic, they come in a range of colours including red, yellow, orange, pink, white and bicoloured, patterned combinations. Peacock Flowers typically measure 15cm across and they are strongly marked with spotted patterning in the centre of the blooms.
