Sternbergia lutea is a deciduous perennial from the Amaryllidaceae family. This bulbous plant produces straight leaves from the base and singular, goblet-shaped flowers. Flowers are deep yellow and Crocus-like in appearance, blooming from autumn to late winter. This plant has earnt a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit.
