Black-Eyed Susan 'Toto Series' Overview
Rudbeckia hirta 'Toto' is a dwarf biennial with a strong branching habit. It typically grows to around 25cm tall and wide, producing golden-yellow flowers with purple-tinged centres. Flowers measure approximately 8cm in width and these are produced from late summer through into autumn. This series of cultivars have been awarded Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Awards of Garden Merit and they are also included in the RHS “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen. They are frequently grown as annual plants as they do not tolerate cold, wet winters well.
