Kolkwitzia Overview

A monotypic genus of deciduous shrub in the Caprifoliaceae family native to China where it is also commonly grown as an ornamental plant. The single species, K. amabilis, also known as Linnaea amabilis, has an arching growth habit with simple leaves and prolific clusters of tubular bell-shaped pinkish-white flowers in Spring. Known colloquially as the beauty bush, there are several varieties and cultivars available.
