Fan palm Overview

Livistona is a genus of around 28 species of evergreen fan palms in the Arecaceae family, native to parts of Asia, Australasia and the Horn of Africa. Commonly cultivated specimens include L. australis, the cabbage-tree palm, grown for its striking architectural habit and tolerance of salt, wind and exposed sites. In very cold areas it will need winter protection.
