Even though the waterfall was not functional when we visited on 7 November 2020, the botanical garden is still worth a visit. Well kept with beautiful, shady areas, immaculate lawns and an abundance of bird life. Perfect for a picnic or just a day out of the hustle and bustle of the city.

We enjoy it very much. The gardens is kept in a very good condition.
You can go there for just to do nothing it's peaceful. Have a picnic or go to a very nice restaurant. Not to expensive, fresh and served with a smile.

The Pretoria Botanical Gardens is a magnificent gem where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the busy city.
The entry fees are R45 per adult, and definitely worth it! I didn't plan the visit so my attire was not completely suitable, a pair of shorts and tekkies will definitely be advised! The pathways are clean and routes well labeled.
The restaurant's service is quick and the milkshake was good.
Overall enjoyable experience.

This is an awesome family destination, the gardens and lawns are maintained immaculately and are clean and welcoming. There is so much shady places for a family picnic and plenty space for the children to play.
The walks and trails along the ridge are great, well layed out easy to find. A great day out for anyone looking for a day out in nature to rest and recharge after a busy week.
Beautiful gardens! Great to explore and learn about South African flora or to simply enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Dozens of trails to walk or jog. Don't miss the Milk Plum Cafe or the waterfall and aloe gardens nearby it.
