The new garden has secluded areas for patients to be on their own or with visitors, a rill and water feature. The highly perennial, sensory planting has created fabulous swathes of colour for all year round, whilst evergreens will give winter structure. The planting is bird and butterfly friendly.

Horatio's Garden Stoke Mandeville Open Tour DayOn Thursday 16th July from 10am – 12pm, Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville will be opening as part of our brand new Garden Tours venture! There are just 20 spaces available, so be sure to book your place quickly! This is a fantastic opportunity to explore this uniquely beautiful garden, which was designed by the award-winning Joe Swift and has previously featured on BBC Gardeners’ World. Head Gardener, Jacqui Martin-Lof, and our friendly volunteer team will be on-hand to answer all your questions and offer you an unparalleled insight into the wonderful support Horatio’s Garden offers patients with spinal injuries and their families. Tours will include refreshments of tea and homemade cake. There will be an opportunity to purchase plants from the garden and items from our bespoke merchandise range. Places cost £12.50 per person, excluding fees.
