While springtails might be some peoples nightmare, these little creatures can be beneficial to some closed terrariums, such as the one we made before:
It's thought that these arthropods feed on harmful fungi previously linked to plant diseases and hopefully will clean up Helen's algae buildup in the terrarium as well.
